The AI Bubble

It’s Diego.

I think we’re living in an AI bubble right now.

Everywhere you look, from X posts to pitch decks and conferences, it’s all “AI powered this” and “AI driven that.”

But when you look closer, most of these so-called AI tools are just polished versions of ChatGPT.

Most of them are simply automating a single prompt.

You click a button that says “Write my cold email,” and all it’s doing is sending the same prompt you could type yourself into ChatGPT.

That’s the whole business.

There’s no real innovation, just a repackaged shortcut with branding.

And the wild part is that investors in San Francisco are pouring millions into these same kinds of startups.

Then…those startups are then selling to each other, creating this strange loop of hype where everyone is betting on everyone else’s marketing.

Then there are the tools that claim to save you loads of time and charge $25 a month for it.

Like a note organizer that just takes longer to fix than to just do manually.

That’s when automation goes too far.

Overautomation makes simple things harder, slower, and more frustrating.

You start working around the tool instead of the tool working for you.

But here’s the truth.

Just because we’re in an AI bubble doesn’t mean there’s no value here.

There are real tools that can make your job easier and your workflow smoother.

They’re just harder to find now because you have to look past all the noise and hype to get to them.

Pay attention to what consistently saves you time or money instead of what just looks impressive.

Always try and solve the same issue with ChatGPT or another free tool before investing in an expensive automation.

So... there is my lecture on why AI is in a bubble.

Kinda ironic coming from someone who loves helping people with AI.

But this is information EVERYONE needs to know, to avoid getting trapped by the hype.
